We are a source of support - providing our Macmillan nurses, doctors and other health professionals who are there for people and their families from the moment of diagnosis, and for as long as they are needed.

We work as a team - giving expert information and advice on everything from cancer treatments to symptom control. We ease peoples' fears, give reassurance and rebuild confidence. We deliver in-depth information. By phone, letter, e-mail, website or in person, we provide knowledgeable and up-to-date information to anyone affected by cancer.

We are also a force for change. People affected by cancer are experts by experience. We listen to - and act on - what they have to say about cancer care in the UK. Together we are working to improve cancer care services. We are pushing for change and challenging the status quo. We are making a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer.

Over the past 100 years, we have achieved many great things for people affected by cancer. But we're not about to rest on our laurels. We must continue to build on our achievements, finding new ways to give people the support they so desperately need. That's why we'd like to thank you for making a special effort to raise funds in our centenary year. Remember - if you give it 100%, we can change thousands more lives.
